Our Story
Lift Business Resources began with a simple vision:
to provide small business owners with high-quality, U.S.-based administrative support while offering meaningful employment to skilled professionals.
Founded in 2020 by Katie Santoro as River City Virtual Assistants, the company quickly grew by providing reliable administrative services. In 2022, Meagan Martin joined as a key leader, bringing expertise in legal assistance and project management. Together, they expanded the team while maintaining their commitment to flexible, virtual employment.
In 2024, the company rebranded as Lift Business Resources, reflecting its growth and broader range of services, from executive and legal support to marketing and operations consulting. Lift remains dedicated to supporting businesses and families through trust, partnership, and professional excellence.

Our Executive Team
Katie Santoro
Katie is a creative problem solver who believes the way things have always been done is not necessarily the "right way". Katie founded Lift Business Resources, formerly River City Virtual Assistants, to meet the rising demand for reliable and intelligent administrative assistants among small business owners. The agency was born out of Katie's experience as a freelance remote executive assistant during the COVID-19 pandemic, where she recognized a need for consistent support for business owners, as well as a unique opportunity to provide flexible work solutions for parents and caretakers.
During her corporate career in the legal and insurance fields, Katie honed her administrative and project management skills, which laid the foundation for the agency’s comprehensive training and mentorship model. Katie is committed to delivering high-quality, professional services to business owners throughout the country.
When she isn't working, she enjoys reading anything business-related, walking her two Bernedoodles, tending to her 70 houseplants, and spending time with her husband.

Meagan Martin
Meagan joined Katie in 2022 with approximately 15 years of experience in support roles—11 years as a paralegal/executive-level assistant and 3 years in the non-profit and community resources sector. She currently serves as the COO of Lift Business Resources. Her background in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments has sharpened her ability to deliver efficient, organized, and streamlined support for both clients and her team. Moreover, her experience in the community resources sector equips Meagan with the insight needed to foster a genuinely supportive environment for her team.
When she’s not helping her clients and team members reach their goals, Meagan can often be found running, savoring a cup of coffee, or getting lost in a true-crime podcast or library book.
